Call to Order:  Dan K. called the meeting to order at 6:35

Roll Call :  Present – Dan Kumetat, Sophia Meyer, Steve Langley, Cathy Ivazes, Jeff Moore, Steve Schaffer

Acceptance of Minutes:  Steve S. moved to accept the minutes.  Cathy 2nd.  Approved

Committee Reports:

Correspondence:

We used Bruin toilets for the Ore Cart classic tournament.  They would like us to pay for the toilet cleaning.  Dan said no, unless they can show that they incurred an extra cost above their normal cleaning costs.

 

Treasurer: Monthly report was dropped off.

 

Tournament:  The coins were forgotten.  We’ll try to get them out to the refs at the tournament.

Registration:  Many kids are wanting to change teams.  Cathy is trying to deal with the legitimate requests.

Referee:  45 people started the current class.  They will be testing 37.  There’s a new assignor in town, Burnside, who might be interested in assigning Metro & Comp games.  Dan will also take to Dave Pistone about that and about doing the referee coordination. Jim will assign rec. games again.

Coaching:  Still shy coaches in U8 & U10.  15 packets are not picked up yet, so those teams are not called.     

Fields:  Need to order supplies.  Going thru the bid process.  Have field set-up covered expect for Ready Springs.  There is one person interested.  There was vandalism to the 7-Hills shed.  Also the goals at Ready Springs & Sierra College need work.  Maybe we can hire someone to do both?  Steve S. to explore.  Jeff moved to ok Steve to hire someone if the cost was under $500.  Steve L. 2nd.  Approved.

Girls Program: Auburn wants to know if we want to host a flight of the seeding tournament.  The info was sent to Mike Melas.   

New Business:  Modified laws of the game were discussed.  U6 will have refs.  NO coaches on the field.  Quarterly subs.  U8, same as last year.  U10 8 v 8 unless both teams want 9 v 9.  Offsides called if blatant.  U12 & U14, FIFA.  U6 & U8 can add a player if down by more than 5 goals.  No jewelry, except school required or medical. 

Acceptable uniforms:  U6, MLS jersey, black shorts, black socks, unless the whole team wears another color team sock.  All others, Reversible jersey, blue or black shorts, blue or black socks.  They can also go with MLS jersey, if they all match.  They can go with another color team sock, if they all match.
