GCYSL Minutes

Call to Order:  Dan K. called the meeting to order at 8:00.

Roll Call :  Present –  Steve Langley, Dan Kumetat, Cathy Ivazes, Sophia Meyer, Jeff Moore, Dan Vielhauer, Karen Mikan, Steve Schaffer

Acceptance of Minutes:  June – Steve Schaffer moved to accept, Christine 2nd.  Approved.  July – Christine moved to accept, Karen 2nd.  Approved.

Correspondence:  Numerous requests to moved teams.  We can’t allow unless its an age group problem.

 

Committee Reports:

Treasurer:  Field use fees will go way up this year. 

District VI meeting: Continuing discussion of 9 year olds on U12 Metro teams, and the brace policy came up again.  We WILL enforce.  .

Metro:  Still have 3 teams who have not paid their fees.  The final accounting for the tournament isn’t in yet, but it looks like $800-$1000 profit.

Coaching-There will be a meeting on the 19th to go over GCYSL laws of the game.  We’ll have the picture packets and player cards available then. 

Referee- There were 50 referees at the refresher course.  More should show up on the 19th. 

Fields – Gilmore is now charging for games.  Next year at Nevada City, we’ll set times that the coaches need to practice within, so we don’t have to constantly do change forms to the NC school district.

Registration – We owe district 6 for 75% of the registration fee.  Sophia moved to pay, Christine 2nd.  Approved.  We have roughly the same number of kids registered as last year.

Purchasing – Everything is on order. 

New Business –Drops from metro teams will be handled by our standard GCYSL refund policy.  Trainer fees are not refundable at this time.
