Call to Order:  Dan called the meeting to order at 8:05.

Roll Call:  Dan Vielhauer, Dan Kumetat, Sophia Meyer, Karen Mikan, Steve Langley, Guy Fleming

Introduction of Guests:  None

Minutes:  Dan moved to approve the minutes.  Christine 2nd.  Approved.

Correspondence:  Coach requested that we allow substitution during play in U8 games, as well as at the quarter breaks.  CYSA modified laws of the game support this.  Approved and sent to referee and coach distribution lists. Rain-out process was discussed.  Rain-out info will be put on the answering machine, on the web page, and called in to KNCO. 

Treasurer’s Report:  We owe $2200 to Sports Photography, $2200 for Aug-Nov to the Nevada City school district, and $15750 to CYSA.  Dan moved to approve payment.  Karen 2nd.  Approved.   

Committee Reports:

District Meeting:  Lynn Williams is the District Assessor.  Congrats Lynn!  Mandatory substitution on yellow cards is no longer required. 

Class I:

Metro:  Soccerfest and District Cup were discussed.  Email reminder to go out to Metro and Rec.  coaches. 

Registration:  Discussion on refund policy.  From early registration through team assignments, refund amount is registration fee less $20 nonrefundable processing fee. From team assignments to game start, refund amount is ½ registration fee less $20 nonrefundable processing fee. Once games start, no refunds will be allowed.  Sophia moved to approve.  Guy seconded.  Approved.  

Coaching Update:       Sophia moved to buy shirts for the coaches who don’t have them.  Karen 2nd.  Approved.  Steve to place an order.  The sponsorship fees will be used for field development and field improvement.  Sponsors will be posted on the web page.  We’ll investigate the cost of a 1 time Thank You in the Union. 

Pictures:  Michelle is in charge of pictures.  Packets are in the office.  The date is set for Sept 28.  Make up day is Oct 4. 

Fields:  All fields are set up except for 2 goals at 7-Hills.  The Zinc family is setting up the Nevada City schools weekly, based on Guy’s field information.  Jorgen’s son is setting up the GV schools.  Dan K. sets up goals at Gilmore.  Sophia’s son sets up Sierra College. 

 

A reminder needs to go to coaches.  Trash needs to be picked up at fields after every game.  There are no dogs, no drinking and no smoking at the fields.
