Call to Order:  Dan called the meeting to order at 7:45.

 

Roll Call:  Dan Vielhauer, Dan Kumetat, Sophia Meyer, Karen Mikan, Steve Langley

 

Introduction of Guests:  Guy Tortorici. 

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Hosea sent in with a Treasurer’s report. 

 

Committee Reports:

Class I:  Class I meeting next week to hand out policy manual and schedules.  Gordon needs the Class I schedule to finalize the Girl’s schedule.

Metro:  Brief discussion about tournament registration.

 

Registration:  Most teams are entered.  There are 95 rec and girls teams- slightly more than last year.  The increase is in the younger age groups.  The flyers in the schools appeared to work. 

 

Schedules:       U6 2 fields, 4 game times

                        U8 4 fields, 4 game times

                        U10 3 fields, 5 games times.  The 3rd field is overflow

                        U12 2 fields, 3 game times

                        U14 1 field, 4 game times

 

Seeding tournament: Steve will get info on whether the coaches want it. 

 

Pictures:  Move pictures to the 21st? 

 

Fields:  Send copy to Dan of the letter that went to NC coaches about no use of 7-Hills until Sept 1.  Some are using anyway.  Steve will send a message out about keeping the fields clean.  We have to pay retroactively for Bear River last year.  We can use the upper soccer field, or the Metro field, but we must give way to HS teams.  For Sierra College, we’re discussing sharing the maintenance.  The city will continue to schedule.  Dan needs help laying out all of the fields.  Steve will send a message to coaches requesting help.  We need field coordinators to set up the fields each week.  We will pay $15/location/day. 

 

Good of the Game:  Dan V. took 1st place in the 49er tournament.
