GCYSL works with Challenger Sports to bring you excellent training by international coaches. This year there will be two camps running July 12-16 and July 19-23. if you sign up at least 45 days in advance you will receive a free Challenger jersey. |

2010 Registration Info
- What: Gold Country Youth Soccer League 2010 Registration, Recreation Season
- Where: GCYSL Office, Children's Foundation/Welz Building, 741 Maltman Dr., Grass Valley
- When:
- Early discounted registration: Saturdays May 8,15, and 22 from 9am-1pm in GCYSL office parking lot
- Late, full price registration; May 25, 27, June 1, 3 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the office
- [Why: Because soccer is fun :-)]
Open to all girls & boys ages 4-13 as of July 31, 2010. Mixed teams & all-girls teams are available.
- Season: Games will be on Saturdays from late August to mid November, 2009. No games on Labor Day. Rained-out games are not made up.
- Registration: Saturdays May 8,15, & 22 from 9am-1pm in GCYSL office parking lot. Cost: $75.00 per player. Price includes picture. Family discount for 3+ players. Uniform (Gold Country jersey, blue or black sports shorts, blue or black soccer socks) not included in price. Jerseys will be available for sale at registration for $20.
- Late Registration: May 25, 27, June 1, 3 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the office. Cost: $100.00/player.
Requirements for Registration:
- Completed registration form signed by a parent or guardian (for in-person registration, you can fill this form out ahead of time [2 copies needed], but forms will also be available on-site)
- Registration Supplement form - print it here or get it at registration
- a 1 x1 current photo of the child for a player I.D. card
- a copy of the player's birth certificate (county copy required) to leave on file for all new players. Returning players are already on file.

- Team assignment will occur based on registration date, so register early!
Volunteers needed: Teams will be limited by the number of coaches & referees available as of May 22. Adult referees are especially needed and get free training but are paid per game refereed. Please inquire at registration.
Finding Your Age Group
Your "soccer age" may not exactly match your age at the time you are playing games. The ages for the year are based on your age on Aug 1. Further, the youngest kids have no metro league, and older kids can only play metro. Here's a handy decoder chart for the 2010-2011 season:
